Launched at our 20th Anniversary
PMI Chennai Chapter launched its Women Empowerment initiatives at the grand occasion of the Chapter's 20th Anniversary Curtain Raiser Celebrations, held at IIT Madras Research Park, on 28th May 2022.
Our Chapter volunteer and PMI South Asia WEC (Women Empowerment Committee) member, Aparna Grandhi, delivered a presentation on these initiatives at this in-person event, in the presence of PMI SA Region mentor Prasanna Sampathkumar and PMICC President M Parvez Alam.

Greet, meet, and guide
An informal platform for women to meet, introduce themselves, interact, get to know about each other, share their experiences, and get guidance on specific career needs.
Connect & grow businesses
A platform for women entrepreneurs to connect, partner, start and promote their business alongside a supportive community of peers.
Pause safely, restart strong
- PAUSE - for those who want to pause their career and navigate safely by rediscovering themselves.
- RESTART - to communicate women-specific opportunities, roles and openings in corporate companies for women seeking to resume their career (second career).
Groom future leaders
A platform for empowering female students through mentoring, coaching and guest lectures - delivered virtually or at campus.
Women Greet n Meet
PMI Chennai Chapter's Women Empowerment Committee organized "Women Greet n Meet" on 23rd July 2022 at IIT Madras Research Park, to provide career guidance and help with professional growth of women. Around 30+ women participated and had one-on-one conversations with experienced women mentors from industry, and received advice in the areas of Leadership, Work-Life Balance, Entrepreneurship, and Restarting a career after a break.
This newly designed initiative aimed to identify and address the pain points of women traversing their mid-career and senior leadership roles. Women experts from diverse backgrounds and experiences made the day impactful - and the event welcomed spouses and women colleagues of Chapter members too. Proud to say, this event is completely driven by the women, and for the women.
PMI Chennai Chapter's WEC team continues to provide career guidance programs in virtual mode for women, post this event, to cater to their specific career needs.
