About Mr. Shaikh Shamser Ali

Mr. Shaikh Shamser AliShamser is an Ex-Indian Naval Artificer having 35 years hands-on experience in energy conservation, project management, operations & maintenance, sales & marketing, manufacturing and profit center operations. He has worked in India, UK and Middle East in Marine, Oil & Gas, Utilities and Heavy Fabrications sectors. He is BEE (Gov. of India) Certified Energy Auditor & Energy Manager, PMI Certified Project Manager and Professional Engineer from UK chapter. Presently he is pursuing his PhD in energy conservation from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies at Dehradun. He has worked with 3 ESCOs for over 10 years in India & abroad and presently working as freelance energy conservation consultant with 3 companies engaged in energy conservation business in India. Shamser makes regular presentation on power quality, harmonic mitigation, energy conservation, energy efficient lighting and maintenance management systems at various seminars / platforms. He also trains students and professionals in soft skills.

About the topic: Why should we be concerned about electrical power quality and energy conservation?

The presentation will be in two parts. First part will be about power quality and its implication on our day to day life. Will highlight the impacts on electronic gadgets that we use on daily basis. The second part will be about energy conservation that can be harvested at any time and at any place absolutely free of cost. Also highlight the bigger picture about the simple acts that goes unnoticed either because we think these have no significance or not concerned to us.

Audience will take away two messages. First, Poor power quality is like slow poison for daily use electronic gadgets. Second, energy conservation is need of the hour and everyone’s business.
